after a little research on youtube, others have resolve this problem by cleaning the contact, but as your flat is new, not sure it would help, maybe the new cable is also demage?

Hello People,

so, I got this EOS M, and while its still shoots stills, I cannot make videos or get into the menu because every other button is not working a part from shutter and modes (and of course the power button).

I was wandering if I can install Magic Lantern anyway around without having to use the menu button, if the answer is a hard no its all right and ill get the camera repaired, but inexpensive answers usually are my preferred ones.
