That is exactly what I am trying to do. I tried it again after reading your comment but the video output turns off automatically after 30 minutes even when I'm not recording. I've tried in camera mode and video mode - both in manual. I have disabled auto-power-off in the canon settings. It always turns off at 30.

Are there other settings I might be missing? Thanks for your help!

Your still not getting full uncompressed via the hdmi even if you do turn the overlays off? Ive got an atomos and would love to have full use of the hdmi out

Well to get clean outs, one needs to erase the 0. The 7D has clean outs, the 70D crops the HDMI signal.
The 70D clean outs can be obtained using USB & EOS software on a desktop.
There is this hybrid solution involving DSLR controller app, android device, wireless network,  & chromecast. 
The hybrid solution is really just using USB & android apps.
There are other h/w threads to discuss this.

How do you mean erase the 0. How can the eos desktop app help me get clean uncompressed to the atomos ninja via a hdmi cable?

Hello, installed 70d B and work fine. Can anyone help me to send CLEAN HDMI signal to atomos ninja blade? I can view the screen whith no info! But hdmi is no fulscreen. Help me!

Id still love some help with the clean HDMI out on the 70d. Uncompressed. Like i said I've just purchased an atomos and id love to unlock its full potential, the camera this is. If anyone can help me please id be very grateful.

This is also something that I will be needing in a few months time, can we figure out how to make this an option in the ML menu for future releases?

Yeah i bought an atomos cheap off ebay and love to get uncompressed to it via the hdmi

Im very confused do i need to do this myself inside terminal or anything? If anyone hasn't got the time to explain it, just point me in the right direction, I purchased a atomos ninja on eBay tonight fairly cheap so id love to unlock the full potential of the HDMI output of the camera. Using ML has changed the way i use the camera 100%

Hi im thinking of buying an atoms no decided which one. Will go hunting around on eBay. Does the ML allow for clean HDMI or will it just be the same as whats in camera pretty much?

@Mallowsm: sounds like your card is no longer marked as bootable.

Yeah i completely formatted the thing like highest level on the disk utility it took forever but its all sorted now, Running ML again. Thanks

Hi could someone help me. I had the First Nightly ML and then i changed to the new one. It worked now i can't get anything. Ive formatted the card on my mac and in my 70d and tried to start a fresh but alas nothing. Press the trash can and nothing happens anymore. Is there something that has changed or something different that i need to do. Ive copied the files across onto the card like i did originally. I took a picture before copying the files across just incase so it made the DCIM folder etc. Any help would be appreciated greatly

Hi, Congrats on the ML for the 70d been waiting for this a long time since i got mine, it works a treat. Ive been through the user guide as this is my first canon dslr so my first go at using magic lantern. How do you shoot raw video from the ML menu. Ive tried it all and im still recording H264.
