very strange workflow considering i'm in the middle of learning Premiere Pro, but since i'm so familiar with iMovie I gave it a shot and it worked.
RAW to DNG using Raw Magic
imported DNGs to ACR for color grading and highlights, sharpening, etc, then exported out as TIF files
imported TIFs into PREMIERE PRO as sequence, then exported as .mov file (forget which one at the moment) and VOILA! .mov files are importable into iMovie, quality looks great, however I did find myself using the iMovie stabilizer to smooth out what seemed like jumping frames
