General Chat / Re: 760D Shutter - Sensor Activated

until the day ML is available for the 760D.
I would never be so sure like you, that ML will be available for a digic 6 camera.

Could you please explain how you made the panning (motion)?
I do not thing that you used a slider.

This lens looks nice. I have not seen this on ebay before.
I cannot understand many things from this product picture.
Can you post a new picture of the lens to show how the aperture opens and closes?
And it would good as well, to see another picture taken with eos m and this lens mounted on it, so that would show much area of the sensor is covered.

You are right. I've been using this camera for video since stoopkid pointed me in the right direction, and the video barely passes for 720p.
Sorry I would not agree with this opinion.
Instead I quote a link for a movie test on M3

Mieka 12mm f/1.4 is noname cctv lens
I looked at the link, cannot see many details.
It says "DC iris": so can you change the aperture of this lens during capture?

Hi eren in your next clip. please try to use a tripod when capturing.
It would be much more convenient to evaluate how sharp your picture is.

Thanks for sharing this interesting and very well captured video.
For the facts: From the title "Marathon" I was expecting to see a running race as usual: Instead I watched a kind of a peaceful protest march organized by Vodafone.(?)
The technical information that your video offers is mostly valuable: I was informed that you used EOS M for capturing ML Raw video.
And you do not need a lens to cover the entire surface of the EOS M sensor: Instead you can use a fast C-mount lens with an adapter, which will cover enough surface of the sensor so that the cropped area of the RAW video is covered.
-Did you shot in 1536x642 or in 1280x536 resolution from the ML menu of EOS M?
- I made a simple web search for the "Mieka" 12mm/f1.4 lens that you describe but did not find anything about it.

M3 is a great little camera for movie capturing and it really needs magic lantern, soon.
Some months ago I was joking on this thread by saying "I  am not sure if it really needs it".
In fact I was expecting that the developers would have made it quickly for this special camera.
Unfortunately things now show that it is very difficult to see anything on the horizon.
CHDK porting for M3 is not a good turn, because CHDK is mainly not for video.
In fact CHDK is a good option for point and shoot cameras that do not have many manual controls.
M3 with CHDK would be able to run some scripts for interval stills shooting: but you can do this very easily with an external remote timer and you do not need CHDK.
I would love to see the the zebras, the Kelvin white balance, time lapse videos through "fps override', the override of shutter speeds during movie capturing, the bit rate control and so many other unique features if only Magic Lantern could run on M3.

for what it's worth i have an M3 & 7D2 and i wish the 7D2 had the M3's very impressive.

I too can confirm that the sensor of M3 is impressive, but I am not sure if M3 needs Magic Lantern.

Hello everybody,
here a short video that I've made two days ago, using Canon's EOS 600D (Digital Rebel T3i) with Magic Lantern and manual lenses.
"Athens, Greece, August 10 2014.
The August 'super-moon' rises next to the ancient Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounio, about 68km south of the Greek capital."
