offtopic Q: any chance for unlocking "AF microadjustment menu" for rebels like 100D?  8) 8)

Levas if the card is labelled 45Mb/s you alread reached max performance. You will need to get a faster one for e.g. Sandisk Extreme Pro

Crossing fingers for stability. Thanks for taking time to achieve this @a1ex. You're awesome.  ;D

Yay tricky one.
Ant123 states to switch power off if already in UHS mode. Maybe he can comment on it. Just a guess but once we find out how to reinitialize the card it could probably also help with the eosm shutter bug - while extending boot times due to reinitialization.

In 2014 while googling I didn't find host controllers which only support one of both modes.

I always thought SDR50 was limited by host to 100MHz according to the screenshots I posted on page1.
120MhZ rather sounds like we have SDR104 - at least if canon followed official specs. Anyways as always great job. I encourage 5D3 owners to test stability and report their findings - ofc everyone wanna have this. If you got a unique way to handle / port this for Digic 5 cameras then don't hesitate to post it @a1ex.

So this is SDR50 at how much speed? Guess beyond 96MHz?

Thanx for making use of apsc lenses possible on 5D3. Truly awesome. ;D

Great info. Thanks for clarification.

Does this already allow to "overwrite / assign" an attached cpu lens to be one of the list of supported non-cpu lenses??

example: fake an EF-S 24 STM to be a Nikkor/Zeiss lens...

I am thinking about reviving old vintage glas I own.
There are chips for glueing available as well as adpaters (e.g. M42 / Nikon) which already include a chip for focus confirmation beeps in photo mode. I don't own one of these yet but the adapters are stated to work in M/Av modes and report a fixed lens info and apterture e.g, 50mm f1.4. Some adapters seem to be programmable but let's skip that...

+1 for removing the Junkie menu.

indeed great news. Keep up your work.
Crossing fingers. Maybe a PR with some useful "presets" would make 700D owners happy - though it's not 1st April yet.

I remember this "dirty" pixels and this is what fixed it for me on early stages of 100D porting:

Check bmp.c:

.....// This fixes "dirty" LCD output for 100D

100D is complicated regarding q/set button functionality. It all depends on CFn setting 0:Quick screen and its behaviour changes if you switch Cfn to a value between 1 and 5. In that case the set button becomes first and Q-functionality gets lost.  It even accepts fake values:

took me days to figure out the one and only working solution (ettr, resetting focus box to mid in LV...) and I would vote for a revert in addition to using cfn_get_setbtn_assignment();
Otherwise it wouldn't be fool-proof but really, it has to be 0:Quick screen for ML and nothing else   :P

@IDA_ML: I assume you enable fps override in 5x to extend the recording duration? if true please report back if the hickups also appear with fps override disabled

resolution wise for your budget it could be a 7D - being still compatible with your lenses BUT there are still problems to solve. I suggest reading through / undertanding this thread before deciding anything to buy:

You might also consider extending your budget by selling all APS-C equipment you own and invest in a used 5D MK3. Investments in fullframe glass speak for its own  :D

... (somehow in sync with the LiveView capture process - probably the ReadOutDone event)....

what happened to ??

title says it all: "..and other digic IV cams"  and I bet the 7D will fit 3K continuous recording too :P
As far as I understand the LCD doesn't freeze now any more while recording 10/12bit @danne??
