thank you Skinny!  :) :)

Hi guys,
trying to use 48fps, seems like I have a white area on bottom part I can't avoid. Any ideas? Not sure in which build should I place the modified modules.

Hi reddeercity and guys,

I've made some quick test with experimental release. Followed the steps from p1. I'm facing these issues.

- 5x mode is magenta, when recording turns grayscale, yet crop factor is irrelevant to what it records
- when pressing to 10x mode camera freezes

And a hypothetical scenario.
Just wondering if it possible when 5x mode pressed the viewfinder remains in 1x with crop lines displayed based on chosen ratio.

cheers,
K.

Thnx a1ex for your present! Just wanted to mention while LV is faster in previewing, in recording freezes (5x).

Also I was wondering instead of zooming to 5x,if it is possible to have a plain white crop frame enabled for 5x recording but continue to see whole frame as 1x.... something like a Leica rangefinder crop frame..

Congrats a1ex once again!
I would like to ask you what do you think will be the benefit from this dual pixel technology to ML implementations. As far as I know except double raw file size which maybe means something like bigger buffer sizes (=faster bursts?), what it offers is this almost useless parallax effect for micro focus adjustment. Do you think there will potentially be other benefits like higher dynamic range, or resolving alias issues? DPRsplit app guys claim that they extract two cr2 and because subpixels capture half the light (!) this initial bracketing offers 1EV gain in DR. Do you think that is feasible?

again, thanks for the extra perspective you give to canon products.

the preview is bad when recording but the recording is good , no ? same thing ,  if someone can confirm wit other cameras model ?

exactly, recording is flawless, preview is freezed.

@waza57

fixed, the problem occurs while FPS override is enabled.
Yet, 1920 1:1 does not work for me and 3.5k gives me a freezed display while recording, but I think that happened before.
Basically, I wish we don't have to zoom in 5x mode and have all this side effects (low fps, greyscale, freezes etc) and use just some basic crop rectangle in 1:1 instead.. but I guess there should be some limitations.

Nevertheless superb job considering this September mkII celebrates its 10-year birthday.. :D

it's alive! congrats guys!

I can confirm
20 sec mlv, 2880x1080 @ 10 bit, though a -116px black at the right
13 sec mlv, 2540x1080 @ 12 bit

my card does 77mb at average

edit: cropped mode a bit unstable yet, seems not to be working now

Hi all, congrats to all developers and a1ex of course for the ML miracle.
I was just wondering by reading the mkIV specs if there is some short of possibility that dual pixel technology through ML turns to a true dual iso capability.
I know that we are far away for this specific-feuture discussion, but just out of curiosity.
Keep on porting guys!

Hello there,
I'm new to forum, I've bought a 64gb lexar 1066 for my 5dmkii (latest night build) but the current speed is too slow for raw video (32mb/sec write 50bm/sec read according to ML benchmarks)
Is it a faulty card? Could it be a camera problem or something else?

thanks on advance,
K.
