Well according to benchmarks of read/write speed, the average write speed for this card is around 80Mbps. I need exactly 67mbps for the 50D. Anyway all I was wondering is what are the chances that they could sell a counterfeit card? Is there any risk in buying it and not being able to get my money back if it doesn't meet the requirements?

Yes that's the Lexar 800x, but according the OP the 8-32gb cards max out at 45mbps, while strangely enough all the 600x cards can write at 90mbps. I need at least 70mpbs to record 24fps on the 50D, so 800x won't cut it unless I buy the 64gb, which is $120. That's why this 8GB 600x looks such a good deal.

Hey everyone, just went to buy a Lexar 600x for my 50D, and found a seller on eBay selling 8GB 600x cards for $24- http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/301096387223
and others selling for $30. I had a look for 16gb and 32gb and they're $100+
Is there any chance the 8GB could be a fraud? I know its a small card but I'm not intending to film long shots.
Would this mean I can get 90mbps speeds from a $24 card?!
