A work around I've discovered is to enable the creation of file lists/scripts in ML and then use this list to programmatically rename/move the files in post.

Could you please explain this to me in more detail?

thank you

Feature Requests / ML write its name and version in exif files
« on: March 26, 2014, 05:11:58 PM »
Hey folks,
I got another feature suggestion. I hope I haven't overseen any existing one.

I would like to have Magic Lantern to write its name "eg "Magic Lantern 1.1" in the "Software"-tag within the exif files. that way it would be pretty easy to later search for them.

Hey folks,
I got another feature suggestion. I hope I haven't overseen any existing one.

I would like to have Magic Lantern to take Control of the file naming.

Magig lantern could than name every exposure for hdr images something like: 1hdr1, 1hdr2, 1hdr3 the next new series would start with a 2 so 2hdr1, 2hdr2 and 2hdr3.

pictures with the bulb timer could be named bulm1, bulb2

this would make it much easier to sort them in order to sort them on the computer.

General Help Q&A / Re: HDR functionality How does it work?

This is a legit issue, especially when you are taking 35 brackets and don't have time to waste staring at the camera wondering if it's done yet. One workaround I've discovered is to turn on the creation of post-processing scripts. All it does is create a text file, but it also puts a message on the screen alerting you when the file is written after the bracket is complete.

I wanna see one of those HDRs, please! I will take a closer look about those scrips.

thank you all for all the suggestions and explanations.

thank you!

maybe its possbiel to add future what can  Automaticly Create New Folder for all single HDR Bracketing sequence and save all new started HDR Shots in New Folder ?

i geting big mess on my memory card ...and i just start using Digital ;p

I agree this would be great

Are there any news if this might be implemented?

General Help Q&A / HDR functionality How does it work?
« on: February 23, 2014, 10:39:53 PM »
Hey folks,
got two questions about the AEB-Function of Magic Lantern. I use a 650d and was wondering, when do I know that all neccessary exposures have been taken? A message saying "AEB compleded" would be great.

And Is it possible, that Magic Lantern sticks all the RAW files together into one HDR-File? I could load it directly in photomatix and work with them, without creating the hdr file!

nice one

thanks, just one little improvement suggestion.

You could make the page loading within the tab and not opening a new one.

A PDF Version would be great as well

thanks for that great peace of website.

Scripting Q&A / script for breakeing line
« on: October 17, 2013, 05:27:38 PM »
Hey folks,
I don't know if this is the right section.

I have a Canon EOS 650D and a nightly built running on it.

Now I want to create a script for a brekating line, but I honestly have no clew on how to do that.

e.g. I want the camera to take 10 pictures after each other like with the breaketing line.

what do I need to write into the scrit file?

thanks winam

Hey folks,
is it possible to create a Panorama-HDR Function?

I could take the pictures and these are than stitched as a panoramic image in cr2-Format or the pictures are merged to one *.HDR-Files.

This function would be pretty usefull, at least for me.

thanks winam
