Just a little Warning to hopefully save others this pain:

I had to have my Lens (TAMRON 70-300 mm Tele Macro Lens) repaired twice & I'm pretty sure the feature FPS Override caused
the damage:

When adjusting the aperture whilst operating at very low FPS settings (Video Mode or Live View Preview e.g. for getting a brighter preview when taking pictures in dark environment),
there can be a delay of several seconds for the new aperture setting to take effect after it's been set (it will only be adjusted once live view refreshes the frame, which, at FPS settings such as 0.750, 0.500 and so forth, can take several seconds)

This delay can apparently cause some electronic parts of the lens to take physical damage, perhaps due to an ongoing electrical impulse
(so the guy at the repair center told me) - not sure how exactly it works, but it is likely that there is a connection to the described
FPS Override Mode & this damage as my lens could then not control the Aperture anymore & I had to get it repaired twice.
I was told the mechanics for controlling the Aperture got fried.

I stopped changing the Aperture Setting when using FPS Override and the lens has been working fine scince.

I'm not sure if other lenses are affected by this but it seems likely!

Just to save you the trouble - watch out for that combination of controls!  :-*
