Hi guys,

Hear me out :

1) Canon has "Exposure compensation" in its regular menu for the Movie mode. However, its hard to reach and can't be changed on the fly.

2) Magic lantern has these cool "Arrow / SET Shortcut" keys for things like Audio gain, ISO, LCD brightness

Why not allow exposure compensation in movie mode as one of the Arrow shortcuts?

Most of us shoot in Manual Exposure mode, however, we shoot in Auto ISO. Its just convenient, and less to worry about - rather than constantly having to change ISO as well as focus, etc etc.

This exposure compensation adjustment will let us be more creative when shooting things like silhouettes etc, and will make it easy!

Thanks,

What do "global focus" & "local focus" mean when selected as options in the focus peaking menu?

Do the different colours shown in these modes represent something?

Why would i choose one of these over a plain colour like Red for example?

Thanks!

Hi all,

I tried searching the forum but couldn't find any specific solution on this.

I was wondering if maybe i am missing an essential step or setting?

I follow the instructions on the user guide (http://wiki.magiclantern.fm/userguide#bulb_focus_ramping) - but it still always says :
- Scene too bright
- Scene too dark
- Scene not static

Sometimes (rare) it finishes with a flat graph. Other times it only gets half way through that graph. ONCE i got a nice S curve. But most of the times, the graph doesn't even begin to plot.

Here's a video i made to show you guys the procedure i follow and what happens. (I didn't use manual WB - but the same thing happens if i do).

Can i make it work somehow? or is this a bug that will be fixed in the upcoming release?

Thanks for the help and thanks again for the AWESOMENESS that is ML. :)

Here's a quick one :

Though i know sensor cleaning can be manually skipped by pressing a button, its still a irritating/slow process - especially if people turn their camera on to use it immediately (to shoot or start changing settings).

Manual sensor cleaning only - its an existing option, but it wouldn't be done as frequently as most would like.

Sensor cleaning at shutdown - this never bothered anybody.

Suggestion : Have an ML tweak option that enables sensor cleaning ONLY at shutdown. Its the best of both/all worlds!

Thanks,
