Just wondering. If I'm shooting MLV Raw and use fps override, do I need to set my camera's picture style setting to something like NEUTRAL or FAITHFUL? Currently have my EOS-M's default picture style set to CINESTYLE, but I'm wondering if this is counterproductive to shooting RAW video using ML. Thanks.

Hi. Have searched the forums but haven't been able to find an answer to this particular problem I'm having with .MLV footage shot on an EOS-M.

No matter what settings I use, I always end up with this mysterious horizontal band of pink noise on my footage (about every tenth frame or so). It always appears in the same place, running from left to right along the top border of the frame. I don't get this pink noise in standard ML RAW or in h.264, only in .MLV. Problem is, I prefer .mlv because I want on-board sound with my RAW.

Here's a sample shot of the problem:

Anyone know what might be causing this? Or is there anything I can do to correct it? Not thinking the issue is my hardware, SD card, or Mac, as I have zero problems converting straight ML RAW or ML h.264 files to ProRes via MLRawViewer. The problem seems unique to .MLV. Am I doing something wrong? Would appreciate any help anyone could give me, and I apologize if someone covered this already in another thread. Thanks.
