Just back from Africa where I shot over 5Tb with lexar 1066x 64Gb cards on 5Diii with not a single hitch and wonderful quality at 1920x1080. Thanks again to all the wonderful developers!

I am trying to update to the latest version of ML on a 5D III. I note I need firmware 1.2.3. I have 1.1.3. When I place the SD card with the 1.2.3 firmware file in the camera and turn it on, nothing happens. The camera remains dead. Take out the SD card and it starts up as normal. What can I do?

I use ML on a 5DIII in the field. When a CF card is full I want to copy the ML video files to a portable hard disk with SDI connection like the WD Passport (http://www.wdc.com/en/products/external/portable/)  Then I need to delete the files (as reformatting in camera will remove exFAT formatting and limit length of files that can be recorded) so I can use the card again. The only way I can see to do it at the moment is through a computer, but the whole idea of a lightweight hard drive is to avoid carrying a laptop. Is there a way I can delete the files in camera either through ML and without ML?
