General Help Q&A / CF Card Space Update
June 25, 2015, 09:27:11 PM
Wondering why when i record and then stop recording ML doesn't show me the updated space on my card. To see that I have to turn off my camera then back on again.

Share Your Videos / Italy & Martha's Vineyard Footage
February 02, 2015, 07:57:05 PM
I used some footage from Martha's Vineyard I already posted a little while ago and some Italy footage I had to piece together a quick spot.

Shot on my Mark III with ML, Sigma A 24-105, color graded in Resolve.

Share Your Videos / My first ML content

This is my first time posting some original footage I took and finally had the time to go through and grade. I would love any feedback on the look.
Shot on my Mark III hand-held and on a mono pod, graded in Resolve. Just slapped it together with some music to make it a bit more consumable.

General Help Q&A / Choosing ISO settings
October 20, 2014, 10:50:31 PM
I'm reading that it's better to choose the iso setting via ML, however i'm wondering if that means i need to go into the settings every time and change the iso setting there or can i use the iso button on the Mark iii to set my iso while ML is running, taking into account that the ML iso is different than the one i see?

Alternatively, i'm also wondering how to reduce the noise i see in the dark regions when ETTR. Are there optimal settings aside from the correct iso that will help with that?

Thanks,

So i'm shooting at 23.976 and I bring into Camera Raw, correct than open in AE. The file is now saying it's 30fps. when i put into a timeline and then render out it's 30fps and of course plays fast.

Thoughts? Is ML not recording at the appropriate frame rate? I'm trying to find out how to change it if for some reason i want to shoot at say 29.97 one day, but i haven't figured out how to do that.

In any event i'm not sure what's going on with the conversion along the way. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

is there a way to change the focal distance readout in ML from cm to ft?

Greeting, I'm new to ML and this forum. I have a mark iii and I would love to try out the features of ML on it, however I have not seen a stable release for the Mark iii and I'm hesitant to play around too much with a new camera. I'm sure these questions have been asked and answered a million times but please indulge me and let me know what I should be doing as a mark iii owner if I want to use ML with the least amount of potential issues.

One thing I've noticed is that there is no one way to install, at least from the various videos and posts i've read. Is there a definitive install guide or tutorial out there for the mark iii that i should be following?

When i add ML to my camera do I need to leave the card in the camera all the time? If I were to remove it and start up my camera again would it revert back to the normal cannon functions as if it were out of the box? If not what is the best way to jump back and forth, if I want, from ML and the standard cannon functionality?

Will having ML on my camera effect my ability to shoot stills in a negative way? I use my camera for both stills and video so it's important that i can work with both easily. I know that I have to revert back to an earlier firmware, will this have a major effect on my ability to shoot stills? Though i did update the firmware when i got my camera, i'm not exactly sure what the updates it made are.

Lastly, I use external mics hooked into a small external mixer that feeds into the camera. Are there any audio issues I should be aware of using ML?

Thanks so much for your help.
