I've seen the "(unreliable)" option for making the file name DUAL0001.cr2, but could ML add a rating, keyword, or color (anything metadata related) to the Dual ISO images instead? Would it be more reliable then changing the name?

The end goal is being able to sort DISO from non-DISO images in LR.  Since DualISO can be turned off by AETTR without notice (if enabled), there is no way to know which are which in LR (except by looking at them).  So, I just selected all the images and exported.

Only processing DISO images is especially important because cr2hdr Lightroom plugin lets you know every time it has encountered a non-diso image with this lovely message. It stops the dualiso exporting process until you click ok

Therefore, there is no way to run it overnight, or for extended periods of time, with a mixture of DISO and non-DISO image selected for export.

Of the 1300+ images I exported with cr2hrd LR Plugin, the noticed stopped the process 369 times.  Each time requiring a manual intervention.

Any solutions I'm missing?

Thank you ML community!

Hi ML community that uses the DSLR Controller.

I am considering the DSLR Controller v0.99.5 BETA app (and TP Link) from the Android market and recently posted a question on their XDA Fourm, but it's just being glazed over.

Here is my question.

Could someone be so kind to take a screen shot (or a picture with your phone) of the current HDR setup screen for DSLR Controller? Or [post] a link to it.

I'm specifically looking for.

  • Minimum and Maximum EV Steps. 1/3 to 3EV would be great.
  • Maximum Images Allowed. If limited to the camera, great!
  • If the shutter Speed Sequence/Range is Displayed. Like in ML Nightly. Thanks @Greg !

[/list]

To whom ever helps me out, thank you in advance!

Sandisk Extreme Pro 64gb SDXC can only be formatted to exfat in Windows and the t3i also formats it as exfat.  However, the EOScard CHDK Wiki says that it must be FAT32 of FAT16.

Magic Lantern Install instructions tell me to format in Camera but should I use a tool like fat32format to achieve FAT32 and not format in camera? Ever? Because every time I format in the camera it converts it back to exfat.

I've been using Magic Lantern for about a year now.  Only after I got this 64gb card, every now and then, the card will become un-readable (in camera).  One minute it's working great, then I turn off the camera, wait for red light to stop blinking (could be seconds, or several minutes) then turn it back on and the camera will say it the card needs to be formatted.   It happens randomly (sometimes days and several thousand images between corruption), and with out warning.   The only constant I can pinpoint is that it happens in the camera when powering off and then back on.

I usual use ML Nightly Build (magiclantern-Nightly)

My original question about exfat or FAT32 is an attempt to diagnose why the card becomes corrupt in camera.

Thanks in advance!

I have a reoccurring issue that I wish to bounce off you you guys.

Gear:
Canon T3i, with latest Canon Software 1.0.2.
ML NEXT v2.3 2014Jan20600D102
Full Battery

About every few weeks, my Sandisk Extreme Pro 64gb will get corrupted while in camera.

I don't know what is causing it, and it's happen three times.

One time, I turned the camera off, and back on (with in a few seconds) and the screen gave me the "Card Cannot Be Read" mumbojumbo.

Today, I left the camera going for a star timelapse.  I put the setting to 30sec and to stop after 250 images (or so).  After the 250 images, I estimate that the camera was sitting for 30 minutes before I went to get it.  I flipped the switch to off, then back on, and got Card error message.

Thankfully, I've been able to recover the files with Recuva.  I recently lost a 32gb PNY card and was not able to recover or format it.  I'm not sure how, why, or what version of ML was on it.

In order to get my Sandisk Card back, I have downloaded the SD Card Formatter 4.0 tool from here: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/

After I reformat it, I used the EOSCard Tool from here: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/EOScard

Then, since I'm using the Nightly Build v2.3 2014Jan20600D102 version, I'll unzip that folder to the SD card and go on my way.

I originally installed ML the proper way with 32gb and smaller.

I've never corrupted a card with the Stable version of ML.

One thing I just noticed, is that the SD card does not have a .FIR file on it.  Just ML Folder and autoexec.bin.  Does it need to have the "600D-102.fir" file?  Because it works without one.

Thank you for any suggestions.  This is driving me crazy.

Feature Requests / Advanced Bracket Features Request
November 11, 2013, 11:20:26 PM
Thank you nightly builders for the new advanced bracket updates!

I particularly appreciate the increase in frames from 9 to 15!  Thank you! ;D

I would like to request these updates.

1.  Add 0.3 and 0.7 EV increment options.

2.  Shutter speed sequence calculator.  In the Promote Control, when you select your shutter speed and EV increment, it calculates the shutter speed range based on the number of frames you select.   The good thing about this is that you get an on screen visualization of the shutter speed sequence (under to over) based on EV and Frames.   See this for an on screen example, http://youtu.be/TstWu67pKj0?t=5m2s  (5:02 to 5:40)

3. Add more Frame from 15 to 40. (just in case you need them  ;))

4. Faster between shots.  Especially in Autodetect mode.

Thank you again!
