Second video i have done on Raw, please let me know what you think.

DNG > After Effects > 422HQ > Premiere

Hey guys and girls,

I have a problem and i dont know where to go.

I have a new imac (32gb 1600 ddr3 ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB, 3.5ghz i7).

I have installed Ginger HDR, and can import my .raw's directly into premiere cc for editing.
(The raws are 1920x1080 23.976fps).

When i try and playback, i get about 3 seconds of smooth playback, then followed by jumpy annoying playback.

I have tried to change the playback resolution from full to half to quarter, and i dont get much difference at all.
I have also looked at my rendering settings, and toggled between CUDA and OpenCL and software only, and still no difference.

The source file is on my desktop, so its not coming from a slower external drive. The scratch disks is just my mac hard drive.

Now, am i just expecting too much from my mac? Or am i missing something here.
Is this workflow more taxing on the computer then other work flows?

Would love any input or help from others, i don't know what else to do!

First raw video I have done.
Just a quick few shots to practice workflow and handling.

Edited in Lightroom with VSCO, exported as TIF's and then imported to premiere as an image sequence.

One problem: Looks beautifully clear on my mac, however, once on youtube, even on 1080p, it looks nothing like the original (when fullscreen).
Original is only 160mb.
Export settings are "premiere - default youtube1080p" then raised the bitrate to 15 and max 25.

Any feedback or comments greatly appreciated.

At the moment, im going raw>DNG>davinci>premiere.

Now lets say ive done my edit, but my coloring is off, or for some reason i want to change the whole look of the film.

Is there a way to easily change the grade (metadata?) without having to go back to davinci and re export and then bring it into premiere.

Can i re edit in davinci (or lightroom, for those using lightroom>image sequence in premiere) and link it to premiere? or can you save the metadata so it links to the footage?
