Hi,

My 60D comes up with the error message "Movie Recording Stopped Automatically" way too many times when I am recording video with magic lantern installed on my SD card.

I used and SD card that didn't have ML on it and the error didn't come up once.

I am using a Scandisk ultra 16GB class 10 card that writes at 30MB/s.

Any ideas?

I'm looking to do a time lapse from sunset to sunrise with bulb ramping and intervalometer.

I will have to switch out SD cards and battery, that isn't the problem. My question is, should I keep the settings the same for sunrise as I did for the sunset which are: EV 0.100 with the intervalometer set to 30 seconds and use the same picture for the "correct" exposure that I used for the sunset?

Any ideas?

I'm using a Canon 60D with a 18-135mm lens.

I used an interval of 20sec and bulb ramping set on sunset with a max rampspeed of 0.05 EV/Shot.

The last couple of time-lapses that I have done produce a jitter during the first 250 or so frames, but after that it seems fine. The last one I did was tonight for a sunset and it was very apparent when the jittering stopped.

Hello everyone,
I am very new to ML, but I am learning quickly. I am using a Canon 60D and I am trying to set up a sunrise time-lapse and I am confused on some of the instructions pertaining to bulb-ramping.
The question that I have is about the first step in "quick start for automatic ramping" in the user guide. The first step is:

"Take a picture of your scene. You will use it to say: I want my timelapse to be exposed like this picture."

Does that mean take a picture while it is dark, or should I take a picture when the sun is up and use that as my reference picture?

Also, if there is a tutorial out there on how to use bulb ramping, let me know.
