Sorry for the silly question, but am I right in saying that the only way to shoot in S LOG/C LOG etc with ML is to be shooting in RAW? I'm wondering if there's a way I can shoot in a flat profile that doesn't require a conversion from raw in my workflow.

I've tried getting RAW working on my T3i and I get the error that it 'stopped before the estimated time' on any resolution of any real use.

I've seen that people are successfully using this camera for RAW, but I don't see how. According to the graph below, my camera can only record at 21mb/s thanks to the card buffer limitation, yet even on 1280 resolution magic lantern tells me to expect 36.8mb/s. So I know why my recording would be stopping. My question is, how are other people doing it with the same camera?

(I'm using nighty build 600D.102 and have benchmarked my SD and it's writing at around 40 mb/s, so all fine there anyway.)

I'm currently running a t3i with nighty build 600D.102 and I'm trying RAW for the first time. Unfortunately I get 'Early stop. Didn't make it to estimated record time' when recording at any decent size, and I've tried disabling global draws and audio but still to no avail.

My SD card was bought based on a recommendation on this forum, and is a Lexar Proessional 32gb 400X class 10.

I wanted to do my own benchmark of the card though to try and pinpoint the issue, but it's my first time doing a test, so I was hoping someone could shed some light on the figures it has generated and also if I need to do the test another way.

I used AJA system test:

Hi all - this is probably going to be a really stupid question, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

I've just tried using raw video for the first time. Enables HDR video, shot a test, but the only files on my card are a ctg file and a .mov that flickers between exposures. Am I missing something here? I've watched a bunch of tutorials and they don't seem to have on their card by the end of it as what I do!

Hi - this might sound a dumb question, but I'm trying to install a nightly build and when I do my camera says that it cannot reformat because firmwire file was not found. From what I can see in the nightly build folder there is no .fir file, so am I missing a step?

I've attached a screenshot of both my downloaded folder's contents, and what I've put over to my SD card.

My steps have been to download the nightly build from here: http://nanomad.magiclantern.fm/nightly/archive/2013-07-28-728e571a1276/
then to drag the files across as normal.

Hi all - I have a Canon t3i running Magic Lantern on a Integral Ultima Pro 32GB SD card. The other day I was using my camera for normal photography and took some nice shots, and came home to load them on my Mac via my normal workflow (simply importing them into Aperture.)

However my camera died halfway through the import (I didn't realise the battery was so drained and there were a lot of shots), so instead of waiting for the camera to charge I used an Integral SD thumb drive and loaded the photos that way. However when I stuck it in, after about a minute it ejected and then the mac wouldn't recognise the drive.

Now once charged the camera does not even switch on when the SD card is inserted - I can only turn it on without one in.

The SD card if also now recognised in the thumb drive on my mac, but it seems to have wiped all my photos and the directory structure seems completely different; the drive is called 'EOS_DEVELOP' (which may be normal, i cant even remember), and the '/MISC
/DCIM/100CANON' etc folders are missing. I have attached a picture of this.

My questions are really -

1) Does anyone know why this happened and what I did wrong? (I know the battery thing wasn't wise but it happens.)
2) Is there anyway of getting the photos back
3) How do I reformat my card again? I've read about doing a new Magic Lantern install etc, but this card seems messed up to me now.
