Hey guys I'm embarking on a long term Time Lapse project, looking to shoot a 16 month long construction of a building. I've done tons of time lapse videos before (both intervalometer style and using magic lantern), so I'm comfortable making them, but never did something THIS long before.

My questions to you all...

The location is pretty far off from my home. I'll have a secure location for camera to remain throughout the 16 months. I'm thinking of using magic lantern's built in intervalometer to shoot a photo every hour (Canon 5D mk ii).

Do you think that having the camera running constantly through the AC adapter will be a bad idea?

I have both a T2i and T3i

I know the recent raw DNG capture ability has been clouded by the new fact that it's all about the raw video now but I was curious...

Can I run an intervalometer mode that'll capture raw DNG silent photo stills without actuating the shutter? 

If so, can anyone point me to the build that supports this for either T2i/T3i, I'll love you forever! I'm shooting a mural being painted this weekend and I'd love to be able to snag enough shots to do a full timelapse without killing my shutter, this raw dng silent photo seems like it would be the life saver!

I'm loving this so much right now! I can't wait to get a new build for the 600D including the audio recording to .wav

Does anyone know if the 600D (T3i) and similar using SD memory cards write-buffer is limited to 20 something mbps through software limitations or hardware? Do you think the SD card speed can be improved within the software coding itself, or do you think it's a dead end for anything higher then 20mbps even on our 90+mbps SD cards?

I love the fine tuning control I have with Magic Lantern, this was shot on a Canon T2i and I used magic lantern to fine tune color and all exactly how I wanted it, virtually no color correction in post (only a bit of levels/contrast in some scenes). You helped me get that awesome feeling I get every summer in my back yard down on video exactly how I wanted it to look thanks for the power and support guys!
