I recall in the past seeing something about a "flashlight" mode, but I see no reference to it in the manual now, and I have not seen it on the ML Menu on my camera.

My feature request is to be able to control (light up) the orange/yellow LED on the front of my 600D with a button push while focus is locked.  (Or at all times if it does not conflict).

I have trouble getting my baby to look at the camera for a photo instead of my face, so I thought if I could make the camera flash to get his attention it would be helpful.  Currently I use a flashy toy place right above the camera, but it makes for difficult shooting.  A thumb press on the zoom in button lighting the light would allow me to strobe it with my thumb to get his attention.

Is there some functionality that covers something like this already?

I see that 35fps is about max for 1080p.  Is that a limitation of SD card, cpu speed, and/or buffer speed?

I've been using a Casio Exilim that allows 210fps at a very limited resolution (480x360) in its case, but I was wondering if something like that was possible on our cameras...

Basically, the 600D can do 60fps at 720p, could it do 120fps at 480p, assuming there was enough light to get an exposure?  Of course, I don't understand the inner workings of the camera video mode, but the relaxed resolution would ease any strain on the card, buffer, and cpu if that is the only issue.

I use the heck out of the high speed mode on this Casio for troubleshooting high speed machinery, it would be sweet if I could utilize my personal 600D instead.

My first HDR Images.  I went a little "over the top" with the processing when trying to explain HDR to some friends.

I wish the wind was not blowing so much, it blurred the blue bonnets.

I'm not sure if this is only a problem on my browser, but when creating or editing a post, a failed attempt at the reCAPTCHA causes problems.

I had it say "you have already submitted this post" on a retry, though the changed did not post.

Also, the text in the main body of the post is gone when you go back to retry the CAPTCHA.

This is my first attempt at a Promo video of a machine we build at work. 

I used a 600D with ML installed.  At the time I did not realize how nice the ML follow focus was, so I did the best I could manually with the kit lens.  I'll use ML next time.

I have a DIY motorized slide in the works as well which should produce better results than the cart+tripod I used for the sliding shot.

Workflow:
Edited in Open Source Blender VSE (Video Sequence Editor), which likes the Canon native MOV files without additional plugins/codecs.
Used Creative Commons music found online.

This is a sunset timelapse I took using the standard intervalometer in ML on my 600D.

I tried bulb ramping and failed, to later realize I had to be in BULB mode...oops.  Hope to try again some day.

My (failed) timelapse of the May 20th Eclipse.  I had an ND filter and a CPL on the camera, and somehow made a lot of flare on the sun.  I shot at F18 if I recall correctly.  Any input appreciated on how to keep the sun from flaring like that.

Workflow:
Open Source!  Image Sequence -> Virtual Dub
Used VirtualDub to resize/crop to 1080p and encode to lossless for upload.
