General Chat / T3/1100D Firmware v1.0.5
June 09, 2020, 12:58:57 PM
The link for Canon T3/1100D Firmware v1.0.5 at address below is broken and I can find no way to contact the site owner to inform them:

https://pel.hu/eoscard/

I wanted to try the ML version for the 1.0.5 on my T3 and need that firmware; the only version that I can find at Canon support is 1.0.6

Thanks for reading and all help is appreciated.

Forum and Website / Not a Robot Verification
December 06, 2019, 10:17:16 AM
I am new here and don't want to rock anybody's boat; however, my opinion is that the not a robot verification question process is far too difficult.
I just tried to submit a post and failed the silly question over a dozen times; I even Google searched for an answer and could not find one that it would accept; that is ridiculously too difficult.
It was asking for a "well known" Canon competitor, first letter "F"; after at least a dozen fails, it finally changed the first letter to N; I typed Nikon, and finally got past it.

General Help Q&A / Re: Imitation canon batteries
December 06, 2019, 10:09:31 AM
I have found aftermarket batteries to outperform the originals; the quick discharge you are experiencing is common for batteries that are at the end of their life.
Also, Lithium batteries don't hold up well to long dis-use; leave them in the drawer for too long and they won't take a full charge or many times any charge at all.

Most camera batteries are 7.4 volts; two 3.7 volt 18650 Lithium cells in series equal 7.4 volts (or two pairs or triples or so forth)
I, myself, have thought of building an exterior battery pack; the problem with that being, many of the imported 18650 cells are claimed to have ridiculous MAh ratings when usually 400- to 500-MAh is about tops for most of them.
To get genuine 3.7 volt lithium 18650 cells with decent MAh ratings can push the price upwards of $40 per pair, which makes such a project get quite expensive in a hurry.

General Help Q&A / Shutter Speed Protection ???
December 05, 2019, 12:56:35 AM
Our cameras = Canon T-3/1100D
Still Photography - not video
1.  Some cameras have an option to protect minimum shutter speed when shooting in Aperture Priority
Alas, I cannot find such a feature on our T3 cameras.
Does Magic Lantern offer such a feature; and, if not, could it please be put on the list of things to do ?

2. I cannot find a descriptive feature list for Magic Lantern on the T3; can someone point me in the right direction ?

Thanks for reading and all help is appreciated.
