Anyone else have this problem? I'd try to fix it myself but I can't figure out where to look in the codebase.

I have the latest build (7/3/18). I'd like to be able to see the entire 3:2 frame when shooting RAW. I'm shooting at 1584x1046, but in LiveView I can only see a 16:9 area, with letterboxes at the top and bottom. This does not happen if I disable GlobalDraw. It also doesn't happen if I disable the 50D movie recording hack. The final files are fine, and have the entire frame included. I believe this is because the native movie mode crops to 16:9, and ML devs added a letterbox to GlobalDraw when the ML movie mode hack is enabled, because LiveView doesn't actually have one. However, this should be disabled when RAW shooting is enabled because it adds its own frame guide.

Here's a table of all the ML cameras' RAW video capabilities.

EDIT:
I'd like to add that I personally recommend the 50D (unless you really need onboard sound). You can get ones that have Error 30 for very cheap. Error 30 prevents you from taking photos, but video is fine.
Here's some stuff I've shot on mine.
And here's a clip by someone else, also shot on the 50D with ML RAW.
The native video resolution of 1584x1046 (can be cropped to 16:9 at 1584x894, or 2.39 at 1584x662) is good enough for me, personally. I like it because when upscaled to 1080 it looks slightly softer than native 1080, and thus a little more filmic. It uses got CF cards and with the right one it can shoot the full sensor area at full native resolution at 24fps and 14bit - I don't think you can go much higher than that, though. You might be able to do 30 or 36fps with 10 bit, and maybe more if you do a crop in camera. The dynamic range you get with RAW is not the most incredible I've ever seen, I think even my T3i gets a better range (in its RAW photos), but it's still a huge improvement over Rec709 footage. It's got a minor problem with aliasing, but you can buy a $300 OLPF for it. You can't see the aliasing 95% of the time, though. Overall, the 50D is totally worth it as long as you keep these caveats in mind.
