Duplicate Questions / Re: PURPOSE: Low compression video.
November 24, 2015, 09:59:30 AM
Oh, sorry, I didn't expect that...
so, It's not possible recording on All-I compression?

I'm using ML bitrate multiplier, but I'm always trying to get the best quality for pre and postproduccion, and GOP formats are so bad for color correction (even transcoding before editing), any idea what can I do?

Sorry If I'm anoying, I'm new in ML using.

Duplicate Questions / PURPOSE: Low compression video.

Hi,
I'm just new here, and I wan't to purpose a bit idea I had.

RAW Recording is pretty heavy for a SD Card (I'm using a 650d), even If this card is UHS-3 (my camera is not compatible with that write rate) this will be troublesome (I think 40mbp/s as much is too slow for good RAW resolutions).
Is anyone interested on developing a DNxHD/ProRes Rec Module or somehting like that? (or If this exists, sorry)

I mean. New cameras got "Low-compression video", shall we develope something similar? (Please, not H.264)
Working with RAW workflows is troublesome for lot of users, and I expect that recording in DNxHD or ProRes (even beeing 8 bits) we would have better quality and flow in post-pro (specially using programs like DaVinci).

Also we will solve another problem: Transcoding. If we record on this formats, we can import on Premiere/Avid/Final with no-transcoding.
Will be interesting more resolutions (like in RAW module, where you can select aspects ratio like 2,35:1 or 1,85:1), so we can use the resolution we need with no cropmarks.

PD: I hope this idea is not disponible yet. If it is, tell me where I can found that module please.
