Guys, correct me if I am wrong, as I am mostly a reader who follows this with interest.

If I am correct the investigation currently mostly focuses on the SD hardware that is available in the 650D and newer models. So for optimizing write speeds in older models someone should start a similar investigation, if we want any progress for those.

Here is some footage I shot in London during a very special Patti Russo gig. Of course I uploaded it with permission of Patti herself.

This is shot with a Canon EOS 650D, using the 6 April 2015 nightly build. The used picture style is flaat10. The features that were really useful for me were the custom white balance and the possibility to increase the video bitrate while shooting in default H.264 encoding.

The video is edited in Adobe Premiere and audio is captured with an external recorder.
