Thanks futokazan for your reply. I tried formatting the card and re-installing Canon 1.1.1 firmware but upon restart the problem persists. After installing magic lantern, the camera crashed and here's the crash log.

Is the issue with the internal battery as the system time (Line 91) seems totally off?
As I mentioned in my initial post, this started when I was on a holiday and was taking long time-lapse videos using fps override (no temperature warning showed up) and also had used the camera on a rainy day.
Any help in further debugging will be appreciated. a1ex? anyone?
