Jankocbek do you need the data on the card?

Update on corrupt SD cards. It seems my problem lies in PNY memory. But now a bigger issue has cropped up. The recovery of these Sd cards use to be a snap with OS X up to Yosemite now with El Captain they totally revamped disk utility and it won't even fix the cards now. Had to locate an older Mac mini to fix the corrupt card. (One click on Repair) I will update as Apple keeps updating their software that is in public beta.

Again I have had the dreaded please initialize this card to use with this card with this camera screen show up after a shoot while using magic lantern. It did it only on one camera this time which was a pny memory chip. And again I opened up disk utilities and hit repair disk and recovered the footage. It was an one hour record.

I have added Magic Lantern for 1.1.6 to one of my Canon 6D's I know without ML on the external power supply (3rd Party) does not work I get an error 70 and the camera locks up :( But so far after 5 minutes and counting version 1.1.6 is still trucking..  Ill give you more updates.
MY only issues the same with ML 1.1.3 is I cannot have an external audio source into my camera while on power supply.
I have a Tascam DR-60 , Tascam DR-40 , And a Rhode 9v mic that keep giving me the Mic connected Mic Disconnected error.. Both 1.1.6 and 1.1.3 ML give me that error..  Hopefully someone can recommend something besides don't use them ...

Thanks in advance Will let you know if it shuts down ...

This is cool that I can use the new update :)

Update with the 3rd party power supply I was able to record almost an hour of footage.(I shut it off) Also I hooked an audio source into it while it recorded and it was dropping in and out( can't hook up audio before you hit record it will lock up the camera)  .. I then took the 3rd party power supply off and ran it with a battery and never had a drop out of audio.(this device was the Tascam DR-60 playing back previously recorded audio. )

If I can return to 1.1.3 I will and run the latest ML but wanted to test this out.. Also I did the Canon Firmware (1.1.6) and ML is not letting me the ML version.(yet ML for 1.1.6 runs). It locks up if I try to install Firmware.

Maqs just to sure are you using 1.1.3 or 1.1.6 I upgraded to 1.1.4 and lost use of my power supplies they would let me record for 10 minutes then shut the camera off.  Right now I have an issue with using an external audio device while on 3rd party power supplies. I keep getting mic plugged in mic unplugged constantly . And the camera will not record. Thinking of trying 1.1.6 to see if the power supply works and if the audio issues goes away.. If it does not work I'll revert to 1.1.3 and ML

I mean the hdmi output had no boarders it's full 1080 in post no resize needed. But a full hdmi output would rock even if it's a software enlargement but it's probably a troll question

I have had it happen again where a card freaks out and gives me the initialize card error. Found a working solution if you have a friend with a Mac you can use disk utilities to repair the card it will then it will repair the boot record on the chip and no loss of video. I have had to do this 3 times so I know it works. The first time I had it happen I didn't know about the disk utility repair. And formatted the chip and used $60 in recovery software but the video was corrupt. This way does not corrupt the footage. But it only works if you get the error screen that asks if you want to initialize ignore or eject screen (click ignore of course) then load disk utility then run disk repair. If you don't get that and only get the ignore/eject error eject the card and try again. It you cannot get the Initialize/ignore/eject error message keep trying but if you can't I do not know what to say as I did have a card that took 6 tried to get working (micro sd in a Microsoft to sd converter.  )Hope this helps others. This has only happened to me while using magic lantern..

I wouldn't mind if software enlargement was used to help fill the screen and get rid of the boarders.

Last revision has caused an interesting error to occur on both of my canon 6D cameras. When idle and having a mic input it keeps switching between mic connected to mic disconnected. If I hit record it locks up (does this to both cameras ) and stays that way till I pull the mic input. Any suggestions. (External source was a Tascam dr 60 and a dr 40. From XLR source)sorry ment to mention this only happens on power (cheap $18 psu amazon units) not on battery

Grey sorry to have done so. I did a search on the guide and nothing about full frame mode on hdmi out. Meaning no cropped video on the monitor. I have played with output and lost the black bars on the top and bottom but the black bars on the right and left remain. Is that something I will have to live with or something ml can fix eventually? Would be nice to be able to use a ninja or Aja for backup in the field. I do like the clear displays feature..

Question instead of a card hungry raw mode what is the possibility to shoot in 4k? @30 or @24fps. They have a large enough sensor? Or 720 @ 60 or @ 120fps? Even a 720x480 @240fps? I would love these options so would many others. Just a quick bit of curiosity.

Lasting image a majority of the time lapse shots (the good ones) use an intervalometer but the nice thing is you can do camera moves in post with the extended frame. I understand what your doing and here is a tip but it's time consuming. Record your videos in under 24 frames. Then export the file as an image sequence then select every 24th frame and bring them into your time line (remember to set your image length to 1 frame) then drag the selected images into your bin the to your time line. You should see 30 seconds blur by in 30 frames... Time consuming. Might want to look for a time lapse plugin that does it for you..

Lasting Image if you want time lapse why not use ML's intervalometer feature in still mode just remember you will have to load it into a timeline as an image sequence but make sure that your images are loading at one frame not one frame at 5 seconds as it is the default in premiere  . The bonus is you can get  a very high pixel image for your time lapse.

Is there a way to enable full frame video out of the Canon 6D via HDMI with magic lantern? Thanks. I know I get better frame size on my Ikan with it than the stock output, I at least get the video to meet the top and bottom of the frame. Just cannot get it to stretch to the boarders. I would like to get a ninja or the like to backup the video in case of an infield boo boo.
