Raw Video / Re: DNG Footage is pink in Resolve
December 05, 2014, 09:37:27 PM
I had this problem using RawMagic paid version to convert from raw to dng. Try upgrading your version of RawMagic or use the free version. I'm guessing that's what you're using? If not try a different converter to DNG - try Raw
Magic free.
I had all the footage from a music video come out pink and freaked - and same thing - looked fine when I viewed it in camera so I knew it was there.

A music video by Toni Dove for Bora Yoon's new album Sunken Cathedral.

Behind the scenes - gear, locations and more at www.tonidove.com/blog

Shot with The Canon 5Diii using Magic Lantern and a Go Pro. The lenses used were an Iscorama Anamorphic adapter with a Dog Schidt Optics 58mm with fixed oval aperture and a Leica R 90mm F2.

We had a small crew of 3, no budget, but people of considerable skill and track re odds - and we had fun!
Our DP shot the early Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel videos. We shot Go Pro in the bathtub and the beach, played with plexi and a Hudson sprayer on the street and generally had a great time. More info on the url's listed.

SUNKEN CATHEDRAL is a multimedia release The (Gr)album trilogy launched in November 2014 and is available in the iTunes store (bit.ly/gralbum) and the staged theater production premieres in January 2015 at the PROTOTYPE Festival (prototypefestival.org/show/sunken-cathedral).

Hi -
I've been following the forum closely but haven't been posting. Here goes!
I have a problem I could use help with. I'm shooting with Magic lantern Raw (not MLV) on the 5d111. Using the Nov 25 build. I just completed one day of a music video shoot and all the files are coming through Raw Magic as DNGs with only the magenta info. During the shoot we checked files in File Manager and they were playing back in full color so the info must be there. I've been using Magic Lantern for awhile and this has never happened. The first part of the shoot was fine except for one corrupted file that ran off the end of the card. The only thing I can think that changed was going from the canon batteries to a battery pack - which doesn't seem like it would be an issue? I know people have posted some code fixes for magenta files - I'm not a programmer but would be game to try something if there are some instructions. I would also be happy to pay someone for their time to troubleshoot this. We got some amazing footage with this great tool and I'm in suspense to see if I can recover it.
Thanks so much for looking at this!

Current nightly 5d3 download does not include DCIM and MISC folders. Do these need to be there for ML to load or are they no longer necessary? Most instructions say the 3 folders - DCIM, MISC, ML plus auto exec and bootflag files.
Thanks!
