I'm Tony (Proto), I'm new to Magic Lantern but I'm not new to the video scene. Looking forward to learning more about what Magic Lantern can do!

I work in TV and have worked on shows for ESPN, E!, HGTV, Destination America, and various others. But I'm always looking to learn more, and hopefully I can do that here.

after using RAW I'm going to try and use it as much as possible, but I'll still use h.624 forsure

installed ML on my 5D II today... loving it so far. Did a RAW test which I'm pretty happy with. Still playing with all of the possible settings and everything.

Maybe you can try setting the camera to full-auto, then using the intervalometer, have the camera take a picture every minute.

I might test this out...

Thanks - makes interesting reading for someone who has not used video very often... the question I have though, is can ML do "follow focus" or "auto focus" on the 5DMkii? I can see all sorts of references to rack focus etc. but get the feeling this is not (yet) possible. Am I correct? Cheers.

If you are serious about making videos, you wouldn't want to have the camera do any sort of auto-focus or auto-anything really. You would want to have control over the focus. But I'm still learning magic lantern, and anything seems to be possible.

Started using my Transcend 32gb 1000x today and so far it's working great. I havnt looked at any of the speeds im getting off of it yet though.

I've been using this card to test out shooting RAW on my 5D II.

I just used raw2dng to get the dng frames, then drag the image sequence into After Effects to export as a movie.

Why would you ever want to use auto-anything though?
