Feature Requests / Operate command dial because broken off (5d3)
« on: October 19, 2014, 12:59:14 AM »
I was operating my camera and it fell. I shoot a 5d3.  The command dial, fell straight out of the body, making my modes  inoperable.

I luckily am stuck on manual mode, however, i use bulb often, as well as my custom sets.

I wanted to know if I can use magic lantern, to change the command modes?

Praying that someone can help me!

we have this in a nightly yet?

8
once again, im grateful, fortunate, all of that stuff, even more iff i can get ML to communicate with my ninja star and cfast cards

9
thats not even what i was asking..

talking ML communicating with the higher bit rates of an external recorders medium.

10
I am currently shooting with the Canon 5D Mark III, on the latest nightly build, modded working with full-res silent pics.

I've used many external recorders in the past and have always been curious if we can get higher bit rates of the external recorder and have magic lantern raw video match, or come close to those bit rates, needed for certain resolutions.

Why are there options, for bit rates, of cards, that don't exist and don't seem like they will (CFast takes off at 1100x then XQD pushing .5gbps and so on...)

Getting back to my point, theres no CF will give me the 189MB/s, that ML is telling me that I need, to shoot in 5x mode@ 3584x1320@ 24 fps.

How do we make this happen!?!?

Would something like, perhaps, a donation, get us a fuller non-beta, release?

Personally, the only extra thing that i want, is a mapable bulb timer, without having to use an external device, similar to the hold button, on a wired shutter release.

I was also curious if anyone was still working on this port?

im really sorry to bother againg, but the root trick amongst every other trick, doesnt work.  I've changed filenames to be simpler, downloaded the latest and greatest cr2hdr and all it does is still flash and complain about some not interlaced or something like that, i cant read it so fast, as it comes up.

Yes i'm actually using it and its giving me a quick error that i cannot read fast enough and closes

uh, yea, less fps= more room in the buffer.

perhaps then, mu question may be off topic, but then, how does a smaller sensor, like the 50d, get more latitude, as well as a higher bitrate?

With the release of these newer memory cards, like the 1000x and the 1066x cards, will there be any sight of full hd in any of the nightlies, anytime in the near future? I for one, hope so, as, I've just ordered a 1066x car, today!
