General Help Q&A / Re: Wifi card that might be compatible with ML

Are there any wireless cards that can also load ML on them without having to do anything? Would like to have wifi + direct boot to ML.

Eye-Fi  (version non X2 or X2)

All, just added DSLR Controller with a wireless router and an Andriod tablet to do remote control of Canon camera. Looking to see if anyone has looked at creating similar functionality while leveraging ML menus.

Not sure if this has been specifically asked before, but is there a way to have silent picture/high-res mode PLUS do HDR bracketing? Not sure this can be done without moving the mirror. Also, if you can do it, what is the post workflow to get the pictures (YUV422 format), merged?

General Chat / 5D MK III vs. 5D MK II with ML
« on: May 29, 2013, 09:37:37 PM »
I am sorry if this has been answered before, but based on the latest ML 14-bit video breakthrough, I am looking to move up to a new camera/video device. My question is what are the major differences between 5D MK III and 5D MK II for 14-bit video? Assume all other variables same, so using a 1000X memory card.

Thanks in advance.

General Chat / Re: New to ML, which Canon should I start with?

I have been doing Digital Photography for a while but on Nikon products. The HDR and stills with Canon is very appealing for a number of reasons for me. Interested in understanding what each camera's capabilities are for DL with best bang for $$.

Also trying to figure out if I should get Canon lenses or leverage a Nikkor to Canon adapter.

I am very interested in the ML project and I would like to purchase a Canon to start with. Is there a link with max resolutions with each camera as well as recommended storage cards?
I would like to have audio so looking at the 60D. Please let me know pro/cons vs. a Mark IID or other solution.
