Hardware and Accessories / Re: SD card for EOS M
October 21, 2020, 04:58:35 AM
From my own experience recently with using the EOS M

Integral Ultima Pro 10 UHS-1 V30 U3 - 128GB

Running the benchmark test with Global Draw on across all SD overclocks getting 56MB/s.

Works fine in the HD mode, I have shot in the 2.5K mode and had pink frames here and there as using an external monitor. According to Zeek setting the FPS override can fix this.

At £18.99 in the UK, and $25 US seems like a decent choice to go for.

Raw Video / Re: 5dMkII Odd frame stretching issue

All camera settings are set to what is recommended for use with using Magic Lantern on the 5d Mk II. High light tone priority is off, auto lighting optimizer is off, etc.

The problem is present as soon as I have copied the files over to a relatively new MSI laptop with an SSD, and open up the files in MLV app.

The card is original as was bought directly from KomputerBay through Amazon.

The bug is happening every time I try to shoot video using the module MLV 2.0, but I just turned that off along with MLV_snd. Testing video with MLV v1.1 there is no issues with the frame tearing.

Any ideas on what could be the issue?

Wow, no replies still. I was hoping this was something quite common and easy to fix like reducing the resolution or messing with bitrates.

Raw Video / 5dMkII Odd frame stretching issue
October 04, 2019, 06:47:54 PM
Hi Guys,

I've followed all the basic settings for getting Magic Lantern on to the 5d MkII and gone through the default set up using a Komputer Bay 64Gb 1066x card. I am using the latest build from 2018 in case thats important.

Everything looks okay but I'm getting this really strange frame stretching issue which is usually in the lower half of the frame. It basically looks like there's been a tear across the image and the image has stretched to cover it up and it seems to happen every 6/7 frames. From reading the forums I'm guessing its some kind of buffering issue but its not something I've found any way to fix or other people having this issue.  :(

Here is a link, https://anonymousfiles.io/f3oWFFi0/

Any help would be most appreciated.

Camera-specific Development / Re: Canon 5D Mark II / 5D2
December 12, 2018, 11:26:07 PM
Just installed the latest version from the Magic Lantern website for the 5DMKII. I followed all the information on the options for the Canon menus, and which modules to install for MLV video. I am managing to shoot video of almost 30 seconds at the 2:1 ratio 1856x956 having used the information from this video https://vimeo.com/83449475. The CF card is the Komputerbay 64gb 1066X.

The issue I'm having is when I either try to play it back in camera or import it to my computer the footage looks very jello and has frame tearing. I'm no expert but it looks like some issue with the rate of information that the camera is recording?

Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated, thanks.
