Bonjour Panda,
Bonne chance.

Yoyo - The annotation at the top of that video (and in the description) clarifies regarding the Alpha4b build.  I actually posted a new video showing the installation process for the current version which is very quick and extremely easy, check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaIO6190pM4

@TKF Productions,
Can you send me a sample file?

Thanks for offering to take a look.  I will send you a sample file tonight.  What would be the best way to send to you (doesn't looks like I can attach a file through PM)?  Also, do you just want one of the DNG files?

I'm trying to convert the .mlv file to something useable.  I downloaded the FUSE MLV to cDNG converter and everything worked fine and I got the DNG files, however, when I tried to import them into After Effects I get the following error:

"After Effects error: the file format module could not parse the file. ( 45 :: 35 )

Anybody know how to fix this or how to get the .MLV files properly converted?

Not sure if this question is appropriate here or if I should ask it in the other threads, but I'm trying to convert the .mlv file to something useable.  I downloaded the FUSE MLV to cDNG converter and everything worked fine and I got the DNG files, however, when I tried to import them into After Effects I get the following error:

This Alpha4b release is amazing!  I had the Alpha3 build and it literally took me 30 seconds to update it with the new installation/bootable process.  Thank you for your continued hard work on this!

How do i install the raw module? Again sorry if its staring me in the face

Scroll over to the Modules list in the ML menu (think it's like third from the right) and click on the one that says raw.

Hi guys. I'm new here, so first THANK YOU to a1ex, nikfreak, nanomad and all others who participate in develop ML.

Absolutely. Thank you to all those who develop Magic Lantern, including a1ex, nikfreak, nanomad, the fact that all this fantastic software is free is just amazing.  Thanks for all your hard work on this.  You guys are the best!

Hi, Congrats on the ML for the 70d been waiting for this a long time since i got mine, it works a treat. Ive been through the user guide as this is my first canon dslr so my first go at using magic lantern. How do you shoot raw video from the ML menu. Ive tried it all and im still recording H264.

Have you installed the RAW module?  Once you do that, then you have to actually go in the video menu and turn on RAW and set the resolution.

I will come back with a fuller report on what is working/not working later in the week, but for now almost everything is working great - finally have peaking, zebras and waveform on my 70D, not to mention internal intervalometer and other really innovative things (like a neat picture overlay) and certainly not to mention RAW capability.  I can only get 720p at 23.97 on my SD, but I will buy a new faster SD tomorrow and get it as high as I can.

A couple things I have noticed so far is that I'm not seeing how to get mlv_play in order to playback the raw clips.  Also, for some reason I'm not seeing the audio levels in movie mode.

But this is amazing and I am having so much fun with it.  It can actually compete for my love again with my newer a7s.

Hey! could you explain what you did to make it work? I'm getting the exact same error.

Thanks!

Well for me it was just that I did things out of order - probably same for you.  Watch this:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LN8LV15_cEA and follow all the steps closely, particularly around 2:50 as that is what tripped me up.  Ended up just deleting all the prior downloads and then re-downloading it and doing it in this exact order.  It worked.  Also I was using Canon - Scriptable but you need to use DSLR - Bootable.

Sorry, please disregard my post above.  I got MacBoot to work and ML is working properly so far.  Thanks.

I have a question.  I did all the steps until downloading the EOSCARD Utility.  It all worked perfectly.  I only have Macs in my house.  I downloaded MacBoot from here: http://www.zenoshrdlu.com/macboot/macboot.html.  However, I'm not sure what to do from there.  I chose my SD card and then clicked Make CANON - Scriptable.  It didn't work and suggested I click "debug on".  I did and it is saying:

dd: /dev/disk7s1: Permission denied'
   return code was 1
Command 'diskutil mountDisk disk7' = 'Volume(s) mounted successfully'
   return code was 0

and below it says:

Making card bootable failed - retry with debug on for more information

Do I need a certain card? I am using a Sony 32GB card that writes at 40.  Can someone help with this MacBoot step? I am so close!!!  Thanks.
