EOS 50D - Behaving Badly

I successfully installed ML on to my Canon 50D

But now its doing very weird thinks including:

   It will take a picture when you switch it on
   It will keep taking pics until card is full on portrait mode
   It will not reliably / sometimes not at all take pics in other modes

The menu is accessible, the display seems ok

I have tried re-installing firmware

I have tried resetting everything

Can you help please?

Delete MAGIC.CFG and start over.

I have tried a new formatted card. Without ML.
Where do I find magic.cfg?

Take a look into the card. Is there an AUTOEXEC.BIN and/or a directory folder named ML on it?

I have tried it with a newly formatted card without ML or autoexec
Same problem
I think camera is not happy!

Sounds like this issue has nothing to do with ML. But I'm not a programmer.

Broken shutter button.

I don't think it is the button because in some modes it will work for a single shot.
It was all working fine until I loaded ML.
I was trying to use video when things seemed to start behaving strangely.
Looks like it will have to be sent off to the repair shop

With a freshly formatted card, ML is not loaded.

If the problem persists then it is a direct result of the camera.
