Hello,

I have read carefully how to manage Magic Lantern installation. But I'm confused by a feature, it may be because  I have read too many pages and articles...

In the end, I don't know if I need to download and use EOScard to make my SD card bootable with the 5D Mark III and firmware 1.2.3.

Perhaps you could clarify that for me.

I know this page.
Installation:
1) Format the card from the camera.
2) Make sure you are running Canon firmware 1.2.3.
3) Copy ML files on the card and run Firmware Updat

That's all ??! It seems so incomplete.

But have a look here: http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=5520.0
and here http://www.cinema5d.com/guide-raw-on-a-5d-mark-iii-magic-lantern/

Therefore, I am not sure what to think, I don't know what to do.

You asked. I answered. Try.

Look at the dates (last modified) and decide which one is the most recent (and valid) info and which is outdated (and void).

Oh! It's mentioned that the "EosCard is now optional". Even so, is it better to use it?
