Just received my 64GB 1000X Komputerbay  :o After warming up it can do 1856X1004 continuous, 74.9-75 MB/s. I've filled the card.
Anyone was able to get more speed? Even a little more.

Do you think 1856x1004 is the best continues option?

I'm going out this weekend to shoots some test scene for special effects and some potential scenery shots, I would like to have some advice on Resolution settings and aspect ratio setting. Now the native Canon 5D Mark II video output is a sensor downscale from 1880 RAW to 1920x1080p H.264, what would be the equivalent to that in our ML settings? What is the best possible Aspect Ratio and Resolution? From your research what's the hightest upconversion that can be don with the ML RAW setting for the 5D Mark II? I have the Cinestlye Picturestyle so what's the best option for DNG conversion, the Resolve workflow or Adobe Camera Raw workflow? Thanks for any info you guys give me, last I feel a.d's compile are great and does a.d compiles include Alex's also? Where are Alex compiles?

Why can't the 5D Mark II get Dual ISO function, what the difference in 7D that allow it to function?
#154
Why can't the Mark II get the new Dual ISO Dynamic Range, what different with the 7D that allows it?

Can you use this module with the 5D Mark II and where do I find it?

I've done some tests in 3.5k raw and I have to say the quality is AMAZING! The image is unbelievable sharp and clean.
Shot at 24fps (override) for 2 seconds (48f) and slowed down in post. Always the 6th frame was broken and the 15th frame overexposed (but only in 3.5k raw).

Please watch the amazing shots in 3.5k :P:

I am curious are you shooting in 5x or 10x zoom mode, if so what's the distance from the subject your focusing on in differents of if you shot in 1x mode. For example, most of the time when your filming in 1x mode then you change to 5x or 10x zoom mode that subject you were focusing on in 1x mode you now have zoomed in on, how far do you think you might have to back up to get the shot frame you had in 1x? I hope I'm making since, very important workflow I'm curious on. I plan on finding out for myself this weekend but I also seen your work so thought I would ask.

thank you for the link!

What does Raw Settings refresh in zoom mode do different then before?
The Refactoring  DxO dynamic range sounds like an option other then using HDR Video, am I correct?

Thank you guys!!

What was the resolution you converted to 3K tiff and Eyeframe is better then QuickTime ProRes Conversion?

Here's a little film I've been working on, using Magic Lantern RAW on 5D2 (and a little 5D3) and a load of timelapse.

Thanks to everyone on here, especially a1ex and a.d. Without MLRAW it would have all been timelapse.

This video Kicks Ass I would like to know some of your setting like, for the TimeLapse what fps and iso setting gave you the most smooth presentation. Also what were your settings for some of those night scene, because there is no grain or hard color blending. I have a 5D 2, What parts did you use the 5D 3 for and why?

Raw Video / Re: Raw and Highlight Tone Priority

I know we are supposed to switch this off, to get better speed... But i can shoot 1080p continuous with this on, for thought I would run a few tests with it.

I shot this exposed for the highlights, then tried the same with HTP on. I certainly helps bring the shadows up, without too much noise. As you can see on the bottom two grades.... Bringing the shadows up further shows the HTP disabled has more noise.

The highlights with HTP on seem to have blown a bit, which makes the whole thing a bit pointless, but perhaps with a bit more testing i can find a nice middle ground.

I think the RAW photo with the HighlightTonePriority Off is the best one, if you decide to add some contrast or brightness it won't over expose the buildings and the bush area. I'm not sure what's a Wide DR but the Graded shot leaves to much over exposure for me, then again the human I see a little over exposure.

Hi!

Check this music video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPQvaDbsZxI

This was made in the same way - 30fps to 24fps. This is about 80% (I don't really remember. Try 83 or 84.)
Cheers!

I know it might not make a difference but with ML firmware you can reach 35fps, the HD video helps with motion blur but frames helps with smoothing the edges a little more.

it is already working and in the source tree.
just compile it and you can test.

Forgive my Ignorance, but can you break that down a little more info on the source tree and how do I compile it to the build.

first prototype:

When do you think we will be able to test out your IME (TEXT INPUT), will it be a module or incorporated in a new build?
