Quote from: Bx3mE on August 16, 2013, 09:44:43 PMYou can use cygwin on windows or use a VM.
Looking at the code - It seems well written and fairly easy to follow.
Im guessing u need a linux / mac environmet to compile or is it possible on windows? If so - is there a setup guide for windows?
When it comes to linux im mostly handicapped.
My hardware is a MBP(2012) with windows on it.
Im running all environments in VMWare.
Right now im playing with a raw2dng utillity but that is not at all as fun as playing with the 7D
I looked at the devenv setup guide for Mac and that looked to me as if it could really screw up your mac if done wrong...

Im not complaining, quite the contrary, love the ML team and community. But we, 7D users, been suffering from the last ML, only now we have the autoboot (thank good for that=) Then the show up of the RAW... but what a beautiful day that was. And then... then our hoppes went down.
We are now felling the begging of raw in our beloved 7D, but this can never even happen.. maybe because of the dual processors or just because no developer want's to program.

Pelican has just updated EOScard.
his link is here: http://pel.hu/down
Quote from: biere1 on August 14, 2013, 10:38:03 AMYou are trying to do impossible thing: the original, non-bootable 7DMLa2 never will work with modules.
no problem...thanks anyway...
any mac user out there that would help me?
Quote from: ArturoKiwi on August 12, 2013, 11:49:14 AMRTM! Or follow the tutorial.
No problem at all for the directory. I ask you because with 1.38 I must flash twice; when I open the program it doesn't show me the bottom part, but it appears (and remain ) while writing on the card.
Quote from: Pileot on August 12, 2013, 11:06:29 AMMaybe the 300/2.8 is not heavy enough in my backpack... :-)
Well it depends how tight your bag is, I have a backpack style bag with big heavy lenses in it (like the 100-400) so its possible for enough pressure to be put on buttons to register a press and wake the camera. Everyone's setup is different, just depends how your bag is set up.
Quote from: Pileot on August 12, 2013, 10:17:25 AMI can't confirm that. I never turn off my camera since my 20D and never got empty battery.
Impractical if your going to leave your camera in a bag where buttons might get pushed, draining the battery.
Quote from: ArturoKiwi on August 11, 2013, 10:02:04 PMSomebody reported an error so I reverted back to 1.38.
Sorry Pelican, I can't find the v1.39
Quote from: davidutn on August 11, 2013, 06:25:36 PMYou can do it too... just start recording and follow the written tutorial.
Please it would be best to upload a video tutorial for the good of all ... Thanks
Quote from: sml1187 on August 11, 2013, 12:59:02 PMI wrote it in the 7D alpha2 topic.
Hello im going to try the alpha2 with raw module, after trying it out how can I remove the bootflag to return the 7D to its original state?

After recording the screen freezes and doesn't switch back to "liveview". (EDIT): Press Menu -> Shutter release half pressed(or any other button)-> back to normal.
Quote from: obiyan19 on August 11, 2013, 12:19:21 PMAfter recording? Not instantly?
got same, after recording, screen freeze, but still record. half press not back to normal. i have to switch off live view...
Quote from: arrinkiiii on August 10, 2013, 11:47:56 PMIt seems he did.
Do you already bootflag your camera??
Quote from: ted ramasola on August 10, 2013, 11:07:57 PM960x412/60p is continuous for me.
also like to add that 60P raw recording works. at low res 960 x 540
now testing with moving subject showed liveview freezes upon rec start but recorded image is ok.
Quote from: obiyan19 on August 10, 2013, 09:18:03 PMThe raw_rec module automatically cut the RAW video file into 4GB pieces...
is this last built compatible with exFAT ? just for know if file bigger than 4 gb would be possible ?
Quote from: codypowers on August 10, 2013, 10:29:41 PMFor me, yes. :-)
I am using Raw Magic, from the app store. Is that a bad choice?
Quote from: codypowers on August 10, 2013, 10:27:02 PMCould you give me a link for the raw2dng you are using?
After conversion to DNG, something like the bottom 1/5 to 1/3 of the frame shows the usual pink issues.
