Hi to all,

I have a Canon EOS 550D with a patriot ep pro 32GB SD card, and i'm trying to reach the max speed for that camera (seems to be 50mb/s).

I deactivated all manufacter firmware tweaking and set photo shoot quality as JPG lowest as i readed around here.

BTW i'm not able to reach more than around 18 mb/s, where is the problem in my config?

So why it does not reach 20/21 mb?

It does.  But you need an over specced SD card to ensure the camera can reach those speeds.

Is not this class10 camera (50mb/s theorical transfer speed in wiriting) enought? The previous user reported that he reach 21mb/s with 500D, i don't think is a camera limitation so...

The write speed limits in that google doc are hardware limits.  In other words, 550D is hardware limited to 20mb/s.  This is a limitation of the camera.

Hi All,

Does 550D support 64GB card? http://www.flipkart.com/item/ACCDAW7EBVCZ87EA

In most posts I have only come across 32GB Memory cards; please could anyone advise?

After reading information in this thread, I understand that the camera's hardware does not support write speed beyond 20MBps. So according to my understanding, any SD Card that has speed greater than or equal to 20MBps should give optimum results (please correct me if I am wrong here) :)

The one I am considering to purchase is a SanDisk Ultra SDXC 64 GB 30MB/S Class 10 Memory Card (please follow link above).

Would appreciate all your help/advice/suggestions in this regard.

Cheers,
