What are the ROM images saved by ML used for?

I installed ML on my 70D today. The ML saved the ROM images (ROM0.BIN and ROM1.BIN) into my SD card. So, what are these images used for? Can I resotre them to my camera? You know, we cannot find any firmwares form canon website.

Backup those files.
They will come handy if your cam ROM gets corrupted/cam bricked.
You will need assistance by Dr. Unbrick (aka: a1ex), though.
