5D2.212.
removing the card too fast might cause permanent damage to the card, or permanent damage to the camera, or both?
You need to allow the captured data to be completely registered into the card. When the lights blinking, best wait until it's done doing what it needs to do. Do not to remove the card as you might damage the last captured file and risk losing some others too. It can take 2-3 seconds after a loong shoot.

General Help Q&A / Ext Mic audio on 5D MkII
February 03, 2013, 11:23:16 AM
Have been using ML2.3 on the 550d / T2i fine, thanks to the amazing community of people making ML such a gem! But yesterday I got stalled with non-working Ext Mic on the 5DMII with ML2.3.. I saw some other user having similar issue but without follow ups if they've solved this similar problem.. hoping its a sheer simple settings error which I'd normally be able to sort out, but not this one.

The same mics works on external flash recorder. Røde SVM and Sennheiser G3 Lav on Roland R26 works well, batteries all new.. There's signal from the internal mic but nothing when switched to the ext mic source in the 5DMII.

If anyone have had the same issue with the 5DMII on ML2.3 please let me know. Just hoping its not a hardware problem.

Best regards from Holland!

These won´t work. Maybe it´s a hardware problem. I should have a another CF card to do some tests. Tomorrow only still pics :(

Hi  there,

Curious if you manage to solve that Ext Mic problem with your 5D Mark II. I seem to have the same problem. Tried on a Sennheiser wireless lav G3, Rode Stereo Video Mic and no audio detected on ML2.3...

Hope you could share your thoughts on this. Sure hope its not a hardware problem...
