Hey all, just figured out what was wrong.
As mentioned, battery could be the culprit and it was really the culprit. To help all, I was actually using a battery grip... I tried removing the battery grip and use only the camera's battery chamber and the battery level % started working. I was happy
Then I tried installing the battery grip again and then again the battery level % went back to 100%... At this point, I know that the battery is not the reason for my complain.
So, i remove the battery holster from the battery grip and transferred the battery to the other slot (since the holster allows you to use 2pcs of LP-E6)... and at my surprise, the battery level % started working.. Happy now
