Clean HDMI for SmallHD DP7 ?

Hi

I am real Beginner and have a 5D MKIII and a SmallHD Dp7 Monitor. Now I relized I can get the signal out of the cam with the firmware 1.1.3 with 720p but not real HDMI witch would be better for to see the focus. Is there a way to do that or is it only possible with a firmware up to 1.2.? or did i miss a setting in the Magic Lantern?
