I have two Canon EOS Rebel XS/ 1000D bodies.  One will stop displaying after I hit certain buttons.  Classic firmware issue with 1.0.5 but I can't get it to load the new firmware.

The other flashes busy and will not autofocus but that's it.  Also a firmware issue but the lcd never comes on so I can't even attempt to upgrade firmware from whatever it is on.

I don't see where ML is set up to support this camera.  Is that a future possibility?  Or, does anybody know of any other software I can get to that will help.

unfortunately it seems very unlikely that ML ever will come to the 1000D (I have one as well - collecting dust). The camera is simply too old,  underpowered and very rarely used these days by people who want the benefits of ML.
