When on evaluative metering mode, you want the picture to be exposed depending on what is into the frame when you shoot.
But in that mode, the camera locks the mesure when you make focus, even if you adjust the frame after focusing.
So when you focus on something and reajust your frame, the exposure that is used is te one that was mesured on what was on the frame before adjusting the frame. That's just crazy.

On evaluative metering, the exposure should continue to be calculated untill you full press the shutter button to match the scene that is on the final frame (like it's done on the center-wheighted average metering mode).

When on spot metering mode, what you want is the exposure being calculated on what you pointed when focusing (if that's not what you want, you just use AE-lock button).
But in that mode, the camera continues to mesure the exposure while you're adjusting your frame after having focused.
So the exposure is spot-mesured on the random item that is under your collimator when you full press the shutter button after adjusting the frame. Still just crazy.

On spot metering , the exposure should be locked by default when you locked the focus.
