so finally i'd lie to invest in a card to start ML RAW recording.
after reading and reading it seems like komputerbay is the cheapest but not reliable..
scandisk is most reliable but most expensive..
lexar can be affordable and reliable...

well i want to go with a lexar...

but my confusion is this...

found a lexar 64gb 1000x online for average around $300USD but also found lexar 64gb 1066x for average $145..

my question is...isn't the 1066x faster than the 1000x? so why is the prices higher for the 1000x?

am i missing something?
any suggestions and comments would greatly be appreciated

QuickHitRecord

You can get a KomputerBay 1066x 256Gb card for $300 on Amazon. I took a chance and bought one. It has served me well for around six months now.

do you know how much record time a 64gb card would give in RAW recording?

i'l like to invest in komputer bay but at this junction its paid work and taking "a chance" wouldnt be wise of me..but thanks

Depends ...
Formula:

Vertical resolution * horizontal resolution * 14 bit /8 * fps = Bytes per second. If not bottlenecked by CF-card interface, of course.

11 to 12 Minute Safely @ 1872x936 2:1 23.976p + Audio  (5d2) but can be pushed to 13:51 or 19,931 frames on 64 GB Lexar 1000x (68-72MB/s write speed)
Just order today a Lexar 1066X 64GB $199.99 CDN. will see how it compare to my other Lexar Cards.

Over 22-24 mins in 24/25fps 1080p continuously on KB 128gb 1066x has served me well over the past three months so far... Just like every other cards out there -- you play w it and once you learn its sweet spots then that's when the real fun begins!

Got mine for $120...

The KB 256gb 1066x for $300 is quite tempting and yet so dangerous!
