I am having trouble loading the modules from the build of 1%'s work.  Turning on autoload of *some* modules seems to get others to load but there appears to be nothing in the console telling me which is failing. I'll see if I can enable them one by one to find the offender.

Now that I have enabled them one by one, I can get them all to load and can't repro this.

Can someone please include info on what is new in each build changes so we can follow it better thanks for great work guys!

Looks like britom is providing some information in his OP also!

eeh.. I was thinking.. is it hard to learn how to build the latest stuff you guys do your self?

I'm not a programmer but would love to test the newest stuff as it comes.. I have tried to take a look around but cannot find any thing about how to build the 7D stuff your self?

Is there a hidden forum thread or something I cant find?

Get your compiling systems setup and you will be able to build any camera supported.
I recommend using Vbox http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=7579.0

i Think i found a bug in the 08/09/2013 1% build:
When you record a clip (in mpg4) and then play it, the audio stops to work the next time you record another clip

Could be.... but now it has full audio controls so maybe not anymore, I'll have to check.

Joshua_G

Hi,
Is the 1% build from 12/09/2013 the latest build for 7D raw?

just put alpha 2 on and tested low light. 1344x560 i believe. force 18fps 2:3 crop.

Camera<Memory card<RAWMagic<Lightroom (edit - export into full res Adobe .jpg<FCPx<change duration to 1, consolidate clips<touch up more<export to youtube

this is a single fireplace light in the apartment. dont remember everything but i believe it was 800 iso..dont remember shutter or Aperture.

did diff kinda grades and clean ups.  some have a fuzzyish ring still in dark and bright spots.. any way to remove?

here is a sample..

any suggestions?

i usually do .tiff but i just did jpeg for speed purposes. to excited to get it workin for more then 1 second lol.

Today I received a 16gb Lexar 1000x, but I do not understand why I can not get through the video size 1728x972.
This is the message
1984 is not possible in current video mode (max 1728)
Italy - canon 7D

It's the maximum that is supported for now. For more resolution you need to use the crop in 5x. Then you can achieve more hi resolution and with out skipping lines.

It's because the camera skips pixels/photosites in 1x mode. So you only get 1 pixel for every 3.  (this is also why the moire can be bad)

The 7D sensor is 5184 x 3456.  Divided by 3 (every third pixel) you get 1728 x 1152. So you could change your aspect ratio to get more vertical resolution.

If you want to get more overall you need to go to crop mode which is a max of 2512 x 1200 IIRC.

Yep. Different camera but the same idea.  Just put it into crop mode if you want higher resolutions.

mrnv45

so if i use that tutorial.. shoot at 1728 x 1152 on a canon 7d with 24-105 Lens what would i set my crop to i was using 2:3 and it has error code 6.  if i use the 1344 like i was i can run continuous for atleast 30 sec-1min (that ive tested) will upload a video from today soon.. just raw no color correction

got my 64 gb komputerbay card yesterday. but yet i'm not sure if the card is fast enough, or if i missed an option that should be set?

any possibility to update the first post with the most important settings for optimum raw recording performance?
i guess it's not just me who sort of lost track on the stuff-to-do over all the pages in the different threads..

is there any common average what values such a card should produce in the benchmark?
mine was like 46MB/s write and 52MB/s read with the first 2048 chunk..

ck8610

1)when the raw rec is working,I  press zoom will led to err40 ....
2)if the card is full ,the warm card is failed so that I can't boot/reboot my 7d.
3)when one raw video finish writing, but the next UI is not show, i press start/stop that to continue the next rec. it will led to write 2s mov file and then the 3rd second startup the raw video.... but mov file just have 0-2 seconds' information ...MLV file start working ...that is disordered...
4) dual iso doesn't work in raw video
5)9-12 version has 2 raw moduel, but raw moduel doesn't work,  .mlv moduel just ok but can't review....
6) .mlv file is the .RAW  file ? Rawanizer can't recongize *.mlv .... that say I should updata new version?
7) when the .mlv file reach 10G....it goes error .... couldn't go ahead ... :-\
8) .mlv moduel isn't offer any lossless data compression... look forward to the real .mlv compression format debut ....

Its plenty fast. Turn off GD and dialog timers in the debug menu and you should be able to record either the full 17XXx115X or the 17XXx1038. In zoom it does ~1038 at 30P or whatever you can make with 75-77MB with FPS override on. The benchmarks are almost never what it will record with the module, they only seem useful for me in play mode as it shows I have a 90MB/s card and I'm missing ~9 MB/s somewhere from the "wonderful" canon ui.

strange. when i switch to 5x mode i can maximum record about 30-40 frames then recording stops because of skipped frames. :(

i'm having severe frame skipping issues now with the new card. can't get it to recording without skipping frames any more. at any FPS may it be 23,79, 24, 25 or 30. 5x or 1x. tried different resolutions. at 1920 i can't get beyond 10 frames or so.

pretty much out of ideas what could be wrong..

once the camera had locked up when switching to 5x mode and starting recording. couldn't reproduce it though..

did some more tests. seems like the infotext when switching resolutions is pretty correct. when it's green i can continuosly record. so where does this thing gets its information from? seems like my card doesn't make any more than around 70mb/s? or is my cam too slow?!

when switching to 5x mode i really have to lower resolution. not even close to beeing able to record in around 1920.

once even liveview froze.

also changing zoom seems to slow down recording even with global draw off. maybe that magic zoom does interfere here?
