In this video I am showing you how to build a cage plus why its would be useful to own one. The base cost around $35 however you can add allot of additional parts to it like a top handle or quick release, but the main purpose it so you can add allot of extra accessories to you camera plus give it a beefed up hold to able to hold the camera bit more stable and the added bonus, if you ever drop your camera, it be protected only if it falls on the cage.

Parts list:
2x $10 Dual Camera bracket - http://goo.gl/b2Lj2z
2x $6 Sponge Camera grip - http://goo.gl/BdgsTK

Hey Chungda,
first of all I wanna give you props for these projects of yours, I quite enjoy watching your dslr-lego videos. Now a question! What do you think, could a 600d fit in there with a battery grip?
Or, in case it turns out to be somewhat too short (I'm thinking of having it without a quick release plate of course to save space) do you know of any universal units that could help to increase the cageĀ“s height by a couple of centimeters?
Greets!

Actually you can buy a different grip instead of the grip I use there are metal camera grips which are shorter but when stacked on top of each other would not become crazy tall but slightly taller for your setup.

As my current grip used in the video are 12.5cm / 4.9" I am not sure how tall your setup is with the grip. The smaller grip are 7.5cm and stacked on top would be 15cm which Should probably be enough.
