Hello

I am using H2N external mic with my T3i rebel and when i record video I get a lot of background noise and the audio is not clear.
When I record audio on the mic alone, it is amazing quality.

Please help how I can fix this problem using ML.

Thank you

If you are recording onto the camera I suggest that you may be hearing a mix of the good external mic and the poor internal mic. Can your software pan the bad mic out leaving only the good mic source. I am guessing that you are recording one mic to left and the other mic to the right channel.

i turned down the gain completely on the camera and using H2N mic for recording using the XY configuration.

the issue obviously is with the camera because as a standalone mic, the H2N records great audio

Why not record with the H2N and use camera audio as reference?

Did you set the input gain to manual? Can you upload a sample of the audio with noise?

ok, so i turned down the mic on the camera completely down to 0 and now the video wont record any audio at all
i guess all that noisy audio was being recorded from the camera and not from the H2N
