ML and 60D - Camera audio is already manual - is ML needed for audio quality?

I have looked for an answer to this question and can't find it. I know there are a wide variety of other great features on ML that make it well worth having but I have a question about audio quality. If the 60D already has manual audio capabilities, will ML improve the quality of the audio? As I understand it, a huge plus of ML is the ability to override AGC but the 60D can already do that - or am I missing something. Thanks for your time and thanks for this terrific product.

I have a video mic pro. The best part for me is being able to turn the manual down to 10 and the digital all the way down. The audio has no hiss at all. It is pretty useful, I also am rocking the 60d.
