Here is how I installed MagicLantern on my Canon T3.

WARNING: First thing you need to do is to download all the images you already have in your camera's memory card to your computer. The following method is going to ERASE and RE-FORMAT the memory card so it is ready to upgrade the firmware and install MagicLantern on your Canon T3.
Also, as will all hacks, there is no guarantee with these install instructions or the hack itself.

Let's start:

A.
With a memory card in the camera, turn the camera ON.
Press the MENU button and select the first icon with the "wrench" icon.
Select "FORMAT" and then "OK".
Then select the third icon with the "wrench" and note the firmware version that is presently on your camera. If it is 1.0.5 then ignore the next section below (B)..
When finished, turn the camera OFF and remove the memory card.
Put the memory card in the card reader of your computer (doesn't matter if it is PC or MAC).

B. (This section is only necessary if your present camera firmware is 1.0.4)
Now Google "Canon T3 update firmware 1.0.5" and download the file.
Unzip the file and find the file "CCF12105.FIR" and copy it to your memory card's root directory.
Eject the memory card and put it back into your Canon T3.
Turn the camera ON.
Press the MENU button and select the third icon with the "wrench" icon.
Select the "Firmware Ver....." then "OK"
Wait about 30 seconds (more or less) and (if all is well) you will be notified that you have successfully installed the firmware update.
Turn your camera off and remove the memory card.

C.
Now download the latest nightly build for the Canon 1100D (same as T3) to your computer.
Unzip the file and copy the following files and folder to the root directory of your memory card
The ML folder, the "autoexec.bin" and the "1100D-105.fir" files. (there is no need to copy the Userguide.pdf or the INSTALL.pdf as they are empty.)
Eject your memory card and put it into the Canon T3 camera.

D.
Turn your camera ON.
Select MENU and then the third icon with the 'wrench' symbol.
Select the "Firmware Ver..." then "OK"
Wait again for about 30 seconds (more or less) until you are greeted with a black screen with green text declaring "SUCCESS!"
Now turn your camera OFF.

E.
FINALLY, turn your camera ON.
Initially you may not notice any difference in the displayed info. Fret not!
In rapid succession hit the "AV" button and then the "ISO" button and... WOW!
The MagicLantern menus are presented!
Lot's to choose from and learn how to use!
Have fun!

IMPORTANT
Each and every memory card you want to put into the Canon T3 camera MUST have those MagicLantern files you copied to the root directory or else you will not have the options MagicLantern offers. Yeah, if you forget the camera will still operate and be just plain old "dumbed down!"

BTW, if I forgot something, let me know!

Many things like make sure you have a fully charged battery!
