Starting RAW recording through cable release port?

Hi,

is it possible to Tiger RAW recording through a Cam Ranger?
you can trigger h264 video, but I only have access to the camera via the shutter release port?

I don't see why not.  Not the wireless route for me, but I have a rig where I built a wired cable release into one of the handles for easy capture.  Set to start recording on 1/2shutter hold for 2 seconds and you won't be bumping it all the time.
