[IMPOSSIBLE] Information in viewfinder

Can the displayed information in the T4i viewfinder when pressing the shutter be set to stay on for more than 4 seconds?  I find that time to be too short.

Any news if this will be added? I have the same thing with the 60D and find it extremely annoying.

According to this post the viewfinder is controlled by a separate chip that ML doesn't (yet) know how to control:
